MUBA 24 July 2026 — As part of its commitment to strengthening the economy of communities surrounding its operational areas, PT Putra Muba Coal (part of Karya Pacific Energy) has officially launched the Community Empowerment Program: Layer Hen Business Development in collaboration with BUMDes Arta Mulya, Mekar Jadi Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra.
The inauguration of this 2026 fostered program carried the theme “Synergizing to Build Village Economies, Creating Independent and Prosperous Communities”.
Fostering Food Security and Local Economic Growth
Through this empowerment initiative, PT Putra Muba Coal provided modern poultry farming facilities, quality layer hen stock, and technical training and support for the fostered partner group in Hamlet 03, Mekar Jadi Village.
The launching event was marked by a photo session with company management, BUMDes Arta Mulya board members, village officials, and local community representatives, followed by a direct inspection of the poultry coop facilities and the initial egg harvesting.
“This program is expected not only to serve as a profitable new business unit for BUMDes Arta Mulya, but also to secure local egg supplies and improve the nutritional status of the surrounding community,” stated a representative from PT Putra Muba Coal during the event.

Sustainable Synergy
The Head of BUMDes Arta Mulya expressed appreciation for PT Putra Muba Coal’s concrete steps toward boosting village economic capacity through integrated poultry farming.
With the launch of this layer hen farm, BUMDes Arta Mulya aims to create new employment opportunities, build a sustainable business model, and contribute directly to Mekar Jadi Village’s local revenue (PADes) over the long term.
